Alida Pintus, born in 2001 in a Sicilian town that closely resembles Midway, shares with Enid a passion for riddles and mysteries. Her true obsession, however, has always been drawing. After attending the local Art High School, she studied at Mimaster in Milan and Idea Academy in Rome. She began working in 2021 as a character designer for video games and board games, and now works mainly as a freelance illustrator for publishing and animation. In 2024, the Italian Association of Image Authors awarded her the Toppi Prize for The Emperor. The same illustration was selected for the exhibition From Illustration to Comics: pencils in talented young hands, curated by the Bologna Children’s Book Fair and inaugurated at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
