I’ll Be Waiting For You in Saint Something
Shortlisted for Premio La Magna Capitana
Sometimes, it may happen that you have to move to a place that you did not know and you even did not want to know.

He knows nobody, his father is always at work, and his mind inevitably turns to the life he has left behind, in their old town: his mum is looking after his brother who, as the reader discovers little by little, is hospitalised and in a coma after a terrible accident. Simone decides to spend this week before the start of the new school year to discover “Saint Something”, as he calls his new village: he explores it, day by day, as if it were the woods crossed by Hansel and Gretel, or a place to be studied with animal eyes like White Fang, or to go through with the BFG’s giant strides. And every time, in the center of the village, he meets Sara, who will be his treasure map.
