Writer, bookseller, expert in children’s literature. Barbara Ferraro runs an independent bookshop in Rome, “Il Giardino Incartato”.
Trained as a philologist, she is an expert in fairy tales, stories and popular legends. After graduating in Foreign Languages and Literature, she worked at the Roberto Rossellini Foundation investigating the relationship between word and image.
She writes for several specialised magazines and in the magazine of Alir, the Association of Independent Children’s Bookshops.
