Carla Manea studied Illustration at the School of Comics in Milan and further honed her skills through various advanced courses, including those at Fabbrica delle Favole in Macerata and the Štěpán Zavřel Foundation in Sarmede. She is a teacher at Padova International School of Comics. She illustrated dozens of children’s books for Italian and international publishers and received several awards, including the 2024 shortlist for the World Illustration Awards in the ‘Professional Book Cover Illustration’ category, the Silver Medal at the 2024 Annual Autori di Immagini, and the selection for the 64th and 65th editions of the Society of Illustrators in New York.
