Caterina Spiezio has loved animals since she was a child and soon decided she wanted to work to protect them. After earning a degree in Natural Sciences with a thesis on primates, she studied lemurs in Madagascar. Back in Italy, she continued her training at SISSA — the International School for Advanced Studies in Trieste — and today works at Parco Natura Viva in Bussolengo (Verona), where she observes animal behaviour and develops programmes to improve their welfare and safeguard endangered species.
