Francesco Muzzopappa is one of the best-known and most appreciated Italian authors and copywriters. He has published middle-grade and adult novels, translated into some foreign languages (French, English, Turkish, Albanian). Together with illustrator Sio he was the creator of the 20-million-views YouTube series “Fiabe brevi che finiscono malissimo”.
In 2023 he received Premio Guareschi to the career, the most important Italian award for humoristic writers.
‘With an effervescent writing style, capable of capturing the contradictions of our society with his playful and ironic gaze, Francesco Muzzopappa has been able to recount these last years as no one else. He has done so with humour and spirit, tackling different genres, from short stories to novels. The jury, among the many proposals, unanimously decided to award a young humourist, a sign of hope and continuity towards a way of looking at and narrating the world that Giovannino Guareschi would certainly have appreciated.’ – Jury of Premio Guareschi
