Illustrator and set designer, Lorenzo Terranera was born in Rome in 1968. He started out working for actor and figure theatre, and has participated in the production of music videos, commercials and short films, including Sputnik 5 (Nastro d’Argento 2009), the promotional campaign Viverla tutta by Pfizer Italia and the video clip for Una storia americana by Edoardo De Angelis. For twelve years he created the studio backgrounds for Rai3’s Ballarò programme. Since 2014 he has been responsible for the graphics and animations for diMartedì, a programme hosted by Giovanni Floris on La7. In 2005, he founded the illustration school Officina B5 with Fabio Magnasciutti, where he still teaches illustration for children together with numerous other illustrators. He has illustrated over eighty books for numerous Italian publishers, public bodies and international institutions such as Unicef, Amnesty International, FAO and the World Food Programme.
