Luigi Malerba, pen name of Luigi Bonardi (Pietramogolana, 11 November 1927 – Rome, 8 May 2008), was a renowned Italian writer and screenwriter. He was a member of the experimental neo-avant-garde group Gruppo 63. His best-known and most significant novels include: The Discovery of the Alphabet, The Snake, Somersault, After the Shark, Silver Head, The Greek Fire. He was also the author, in collaboration with Tonino Guerra, of stories and tales for young people and children.
