Mariachiara Di Giorgio studied illustration at IED in Rome, continuing her education at Ensad in Paris. She started working in children’s publishing in 2012, publishing with leading Italian and foreign publishers. Her illustrations have been selected for the Bologna Children’s Book Fair illustrators’ exhibition and at the Society of Illustrators in New York. Her books have made it onto the IBBY Honour List and the White Ravens. She won Prix Sorcières, Premio Luigi Malerba and she was awarded Premio Andersen to her career as Best Italian Illustrator.
