Roberto Piumini has worked as a teacher, actor and writer. One of Italy’s most prolific and respected authors, he has published for children, young readers and adults with around one hundred publishers, spanning fairy tales, poetry, novels, epic retellings, theatrical works, song lyrics and musical texts, as well as translations of poetry and drama.

He has created, written and hosted radio and television programs, and continues to perform his own works on stage alongside actors and musicians, with a particular focus on narrative poetry.
