Massimo Canuti was born in Piombino in 1971. After graduating in Architecture, he began working in communications in 1999, while also devoting himself to what he loved most: writing stories. In 2011, together with Gianluca Belmonte, he published the illustrated book Al buio vedi. His first novel, Contro i cattivi funziona (Instar), appeared in 2013. Exploring the challenging themes of disability and bullying, it led him to work closely with young people. In 2016, again with Instar, he published Io, il Cinema, an unauthorised autobiography of the seventh art. His second novel, Le coincidenze dell’estate, was published by Edizioni E/O in March 2017. In 2022, he wrote a volume about the women of the Italian Resistance for Corriere della Sera’s series La storia delle donne, edited by Barbara Biscotti. He lives in Milan, where he works as a freelance copywriter.
