Just Right announces its participation in the 23rd edition of Più Libri Più Liberi (PLPL), Italy’s most relevant fair for independent publishing, taking place from December 4 to December 8 in Rome. This annual event is a major highlight for small and medium-sized publishers, providing an invaluable opportunity to showcase their work, network with industry professionals, and engage with the public.

Più Libri Più Liberi, organised by the Italian Publishers Association (AIE), attracts over 500 publishers each year. With a dynamic programme of meetings, presentations, round tables, and other activities, the fair fosters collaboration, promotes new publications, and serves as a vital platform for discussing the future of the publishing industry.

Just Right will be presenting
its catalogue at the PLPL Rights Centre, a dedicated space for B2B meetings focused on the exchange of publishing rights. This is an exciting opportunity for publishers and industry professionals to negotiate rights, forge new collaborations, and expand their international networks.

This year, four publishing houses from our portfolio are featured at the fair:
  • Camelozampa – an independent children’s books publisher, winner of the 2020 Bologna Prize for Best Children’s Publisher of the Year in Europe.
  • Edizioni Corsare – renowned for its award-winning children’s books, celebrated internationally.
  • ideestortepaper – a Sicilian publishing house known for its creative and original approach to storytelling.
  • Settenove – a pioneering publisher focused on non-fiction works that address discrimination, gender-based violence, and other critical social issues.
While these publishers reflect the creativity, innovation, and unique voices that define the independent publishing sector, they represent just a part of the broader selection of exceptional talent in our catalogue.
The theme of this year’s fair, “The Measure of the World,” celebrates the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo’s death, inviting attendees to explore the power of imagination and literature as tools for expanding our understanding of the world. This theme highlights the idea that reading and storytelling are essential for exploration, both intellectually and physically, as we continue to push the boundaries of knowledge and creativity.
