Sante Bandirali is an Italian publisher, translator, and author. He is the co-founder and editorial director of the independent publishing house uovonero, known for its pioneering work in accessible and inclusive children’s publishing, and is also involved in the editorial project Officina Babùk.
As a translator he has translated around forty novels for young readers, including The London Eye Mystery by Siobhan Dowd, winner of the Premio Andersen in Italy. In 2020 he received the Premio Strega Ragazze e Ragazzi for translation for One for the Murphys by Lynda Mullaly Hunt, and his translations have received numerous other awards and recognitions.
Alongside his editorial and translation work, he writes picture books and fiction.
