Chiara Morosinotto graduated in Evolutionary Biology and immediately left for Finland. There she obtained a PhD in Ecology and worked for fifteen years as a researcher for the University of Turku and the NOVIA University of Applied Sciences, specialising in anti-predator behaviours and stress responses in the animal world. She studied for many years the differences in behaviour and ecological and physiological aspects of gray and red coloured tawny owls and is co-author of several papers. In 2022, she wrote, in collaboration with her brother Davide, her first book, La paura del leone (Rizzoli). Since then, she has emerged as a science communicator in the world of children’s literature. Today she has returned to Italy and works as a researcher at the Department of Biology at the University of Padua, where she studies the effects of heat waves on animal behaviour.
