Isabella Grott was born in Rovereto, Trento and graduated in Pictorial Decoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. She then enrolled at the Academy of Digital Arts Nemo in Florence, where she studied illustration and graduated in 2010. She currently collaborates with the Academy as an illustration teacher in the e-design course. In 2015 she won the Il Battello a Vapore literary prize for illustrators. She collaborates with various publishing houses in Italy and abroad, including Edizioni EL – Emme Edizioni, White star Kids, Giunti, Usborne Publishing, Penguin Random House.
