Susanna Mattiangeli was born in Rome in 1971. She studied art history and worked in theatre. She is involved in children’s projects, drawing workshops, and narrative techniques, collaborating with schools, libraries, and bookshops. She has published with many Italian publishers, and her books have been translated into numerous languages. In 2018 she won the Andersen Award as “Best Writer.” In 2021 she was appointed Italian Children’s Laureate for the 2022–2024 term.
