Roberto Lauciello (LAU) was born in Genoa in 1971. After graduating from high school, he attended the Scuola del Fumetto (Comic School) in Chiavari and the Disney Academy in Milan, taking his first steps in the world of comics and publishing also for Topolino. In 2002, he began to devote himself to illustrated books for children and young adults, collaborating with various Italian publishers.
Since 2012, he has been teaching at the Genoa Comics Academy. The Toy Smuggler, published by Valentina Edizioni, is illustrated by him.
