Each year, the European audiovisual industry gathers in Bordeaux for CARTOON Movie, a prominent hub dedicated to animated feature films at every stage of development. 

In a competitive market, timing and strategic awareness are crucial — that’s why Just Right will be attending this event for the first time from March 3 to 5, 2026.

Over three days, independent producers will present their animated feature projects to a carefully selected audience of industry professionals, including broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, regional funds, investors, and publishers. Beyond the pitching sessions, one-on-one meetings, and networking opportunities provide an ideal setting to strengthen existing partnerships and foster new international collaborations.

For a subsidiary rights agency, events like CARTOON Movie offer a valuable perspective: they allow us to identify which stories, narrative worlds, and visual styles are capturing producers’ attention and shaping future production slates.

Our participation in Bordeaux follows a journey that began at the CARTOON Forum in Toulouse in September 2024, the first animation-focused event we attended as part of the Italian Delegation of Publishers from the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. In October 2025, MIA – Mercato Internazionale dell’Audiovisivo launched the Book Adaptation Forum, where one of the titles from our catalogue, Super Toothless, was selected to be pitched in front of an international audience of producers. More recently, a visit to the Nuremberg Toy Fair in January 2026 from our partner agency, The Book Rights, opened discussions on licensing opportunities.

Stories circulate, transform, and create new formats and opportunities. Our goal is to strategically position Just Right’s catalogue within a rapidly evolving ecosystem, a space to envision trans-media and cross-media developments of the stories we loved the most.
